All - If you don't want to learn how to polish aluminum cases, don't ever wash a hot bike at a car wash. It'll peel of your clear coat or parts of it in a heartbeat. It's happened to me - seen it happen to others. And, it's not sensitive to brand. Sooner or later if you want shiny aluminum cases, you WILL have to make them yourself. Just as well learn to use fine '00000' steel wool, fitz paste or semichrome polish.
